Foundry Certified

The inspection standard behind every rebuilt bike.

Foundry Certified means the bike has already been safety checked, documented, and test ridden before you ever see the listing.

Build tiers

Bronze, Silver, and Gold set the service and finish level.

Every bike is tagged Bronze, Silver, or Gold before it’s listed, so you know what level of rebuild you’re looking at.

Bronze

Safe, reliable, fully serviced.

Every Bronze bike passes the full 30-point inspection and gets a clean, detailed finish. No repaint, just degreasing, polish, and touch-up on chips. Cosmetic wear stays visible, but nothing about the ride is left unchecked.

Silver

Stronger cosmetics, smoother ride.

Silver bikes add new contact points, like grips, saddle, and bar tape, plus spot refinishing on the fork and chainstay so the bike reads as intentional, not just cleaned up. Still no full repaint.

Gold

Extensive rebuild, premium presentation.

Reserved for frames with the bones to justify it: desirable brand or geometry, or standout vintage steel. Gold bikes get a full strip-and-repaint or professional powder coat before the rebuild.

Inspection summary

The 30-point checklist is the baseline.

Here’s the short version. The full 30-point list is further down this page.

  • Frame and fork inspected for cracks or structural damage
  • Headset, bearings, and wheel true checked
  • Drivetrain, shifting, and brakes adjusted and verified
  • All critical fasteners checked
  • Test ride completed before listing or delivery

Customer promise

Ready to ride, clearly documented, and backed by a short adjustment window.

Not a promise of perfection. It’s a promise that it was actually checked, and that we’ll help if something needs adjusting after the sale.

Every Foundry Certified bike comes with its build number, build date, frame details, parts list, service notes, and the technician’s name, so you have a clean record now and for whoever owns it next.
