Terms & the 30-day guarantee.

The plain-language version of what you're agreeing to when you buy a Foundry bike, and exactly what the 30-day guarantee does and doesn't cover.

Covered

What the 30-day guarantee fixes

If it needs this within 30 days of pickup or delivery, bring it back and we'll take care of it.

  • Brake and derailleur adjustments once cables settle in
  • Shifting tune-up after the first rides
  • Seat, bar, and lever position adjustments
  • Bolts and fasteners that need retorquing after break-in
  • Wheel truing if a wheel goes out of round under normal riding

Not covered

What's outside the guarantee

This is an adjustment guarantee, not accident or wear insurance.

  • Damage from a crash, drop, or misuse
  • Normal wear once it's past adjustment: tires, brake pads, chains, cables
  • Damage from parts or modifications added after purchase
  • Theft or loss
  • Bikes ridden or stored somewhere other than as intended (competitive racing, extreme terrain outside the bike's build)

How to use it

Bring it back within 30 days. That's the whole process.

No claim form and no fine print.

Contact us within 30 days of pickup or delivery and describe what's off. We'll tell you whether it's a quick in-shop adjustment, a mail-in fix, or something we can walk you through. If your bike shipped originally, you cover return shipping; we cover the parts and labor for anything listed as covered above. After 30 days, standard shop service rates apply.

Purchase terms

What you're agreeing to when you buy.

Short version of the terms that apply to every Foundry sale.

You're agreeing to

It's used, and rebuilt

Every bike started as a used frame. Cosmetic wear noted on the listing is expected and isn't a defect.

You're agreeing to

Sale is final outside the guarantee

Once you take delivery, the 30-day adjustment guarantee is what governs returns, not a general refund policy.

You're agreeing to

Fit is on you to confirm

Test ride when you can, and check the listed size and geometry before you buy. We'll answer sizing questions honestly if you ask first.

You're agreeing to

Payment and reservations

Payment is due in full before a bike leaves the shop. A deposit to reserve a build is non-refundable once we start rebuild work on that frame.

You're agreeing to

Pickup and shipping

Local pickup is arranged directly with us. If a bike ships, you cover shipping cost and any packing requirements we specify.

You're agreeing to

Riding is on you

Cycling carries real risk. Once it's yours, you're responsible for safe operation, gear, traffic laws, and ongoing maintenance.

Before you buy

Questions about any of this? Ask before you buy, not after.

We'd rather answer a question up front than sort out a surprise later. Reach out any time.
